Berlin/Paris/London, 19 November 2024. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will oblige 50,000 companies across Europe to report in detail on their sustainability performance. Initially, businesses with large balance sheets will be affected, and in subsequent years, mid-market listed companies will also be affected.
“As suppliers, however, mid-market businesses even today have to collect extensive ESG data and provide it to their major customers that already fall under the CSRD reporting requirements. For many, this means a great deal of bureaucracy,” says Lubomila Jordanova, CEO of Plan A.

To help companies navigate the complexities of CSRD, make the reporting process faster and more efficient, and interlock it with their long-term sustainability strategies, Plan A has developed its CSRD Manager.
Integrated sustainability platform for carbon accounting, decarbonisation, and reporting
Double materiality assessment, 1,000+ data points, and a myriad of stakeholders to be involved: companies face demanding requirements to comply with CSRD. This is where Plan A's CSRD Manager comes into play, acting as a central data management platform. Step by step, it systematically guides sustainability managers through the entire reporting process. The tool streamlines the identification and collection of relevant data points, automates the management of stakeholders, and enables users to invite external auditors to inspect the process along the way.
Fully integrated into the existing Plan A ecosystem of software solutions for corporate carbon accounting, decarbonisation, and sustainability reporting, the CSRD Manager allows users to pull existing emissions and sustainability data directly into the CSRD report. The associated time and cost savings are considerable, as all carbon footprint data must be calculated using certified methods, such as Plan A’s scientifically sound Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) calculation methodology certified by TÜV Rheinland, one of the world's leading verification bodies.
Lubomila Jordanova adds, “The administrative pressure on companies to fulfil the multitude of international and national reporting obligations is growing. This is all the more true for mid-market companies, which often lack expertise or resources. Therefore, we aim to offer businesses a centralised all-in-one solution for all their emissions and sustainability data. Non-financial reporting and sustainable transformation have never been easier to manage. Our CSRD Manager saves companies crucial resources, allowing them to focus on the things that really matter: mitigating their impact and boosting their resilience to gain a truly compelling competitive advantage.”
